1 hour later Beep Beep Beep

Finally you wake up and realize you’re an hour late. You scramble to get yourself ready, but your still in a zombie like state of half-awake and half-asleep. What miracle potion can you take to get that sand out of your eyes and get your body in a groove.

water

A tall glass of water first thing in the morning is usually the best way to start your day. After about 6-8 hours of no liquids your body is partially dehydrated and needs a recharge first thing in the morning. This tall glass of water will also help get the rest of your system in gear. You will be able to get rid of some toxins, make your blood more viscous, and help supply your brain with some oxygenated blood.

coffee

Coffee. What more can you say about coffee. It’s that miracle black sludge that can bring the dead back to life. This is the go to staple for waking up in the world. Each country has their own twist on a coffee drinking tradition and what times of the day it is consumed. Needless to say this bad boy will super charge your system with caffeine, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It’s a pretty good way to start your day.

yerba mate

This tea is almost like coffee, but it will give you the coffee like high without the jitters. It contains a good amount of minerals, vitamins, a lot of antioxidants, theobromine, and caffeine. It’s a change of pace from the black sludge, but it will definitely get the job done. Enjoy it with lemon and honey.

tea

This one is pretty obvious. With people boycotting coffee for some reason tea has become a sort of hero to these people. There are countless variations of tea and it can be enjoyed several different ways. Some countries like the United Kingdom prefer tea over coffee. It is also a great way to wake up in the morning, but it may not contain the punch that coffee can provide.

chai tea

This is a spiced tea enjoyed by a good amount of the world. It is usually a black tea, with milk, sugar, and spices. These spices include cinnamon, cardamom, clove, ginger, and fennel. It varies depending on the country you enjoy it in, but it delivers a good amount of energy in the morning or that late night study spree.

matcha green tea

Usually in a powder form, this tea can give someone he-man like characteristics. It contains a great deal of antioxidants, caffeine, but also has some L-theanine. The combination of caffeine and L-theanine gives the body a dose of energy again without the jitters.

hot cacao

This only works if you get the good stuff. That cheap over the counter knock off cocoa powder is waste of space. It’s just a bunch of sugar and artificially flavors that will just lead to a sugar crash later on. If you get the good stuff, a raw cacao powder, it will give you a significant boost of energy in the morning. It brings with it a great amount of minerals, vitamins, and some antioxidants. It tastes great and its good for you.

green smoothie

This is another great way to start the day. It loads the body with tons of phytochemical’s, vitamins, minerals, and chlorophyl. This is a phenomenal way to start the day. Its a surge of energy, but sustainable energy and you don’t have to burn your tongue trying to drink it in a hurry.
